Chambarak – 2023

The renovation of the third building of Chambarak #3 Kindergarten is a remarkable example of successful collaboration between non-profit organizations.
Chambarak, a town situated just 5 km from the Azeri border, has a population of over 5,500, including approximately 600 refugees who relocated from Artsakh in 2023. Although the town has several kindergartens, they are insufficient to meet the needs of the growing community. In 2016, Knight of Vartan, in partnership with ATDF, renovated two of the buildings at Kindergarten #3. However, one building still required significant work. In 2024, Knights of Vartan once again contributed through the RoA subsidy program to fully renovate the third building, creating space for 60 additional children.
While the renovation project expenses were covered, it still required furniture, beds, and bedding. Armenian Schools Foundation stepped in to donate wardrobes, tables, and chairs for 60 children, as well as tables and chairs for the teachers. The International Women’s Association of Yerevan (IWAY) NGO provided 60 beds, along with bedding, pillows, and mattresses.
Soon the kindergarten will be ready to welcome 60 more children, offering them education, nutritious meals, and providing parents the opportunity to work full-time without worrying about their children’s care.
Such a project demonstrates the profound impact that collaborative efforts between non-profit organizations can have on a community.
